The name Jeremy Austin should not be familiar to you. He is an American, a patriot, and a purple heart recipient. You see if you didn't know it, Jeremy from the waist up is like you and me: a blue-collared, red-blooded American. Jovial, funny, always kidding around and absolutely loves to hunt. From the waist-down Jeremy is different. When Jeremy was serving this country as a recon marine in Afghanistan, and IED obliterated both of his legs. For most of us that would have left us broken. To Jeremy it's something that highlights his fortitude, his way of communicating to the world that he is still here, still has a purpose, and the outdoors and hunting is very much tied into who he is. Hunting serves as a valuable escape for many of our combat veterans, a place of healing, a place of solitude, a place where they can connect back with their original selves. Thank you, Jeremy, for what you have sacrificed for this country and we give thanks for men and women like you around the world fighting for our freedoms.
