There is a seedy underbelly within the hunting community today. An undercurrent where hunters feel the need to drag down other hunters. The reason for the hate is unknown - it could be jealousy, it could be a simple dislike of someone, or it could even be tied to an old flame. What this new culture is breeding is the perpetuation of the social media culture of perfectionism, essentially a false narrative around who hunters are supposed to be. Hunting is inherently tied within its definition to failure, and for Jessica, she understands that and is open to the world of all her failures. Failing makes you better. Failing is how one learns. Everyone fails. As a hunting community we need to embrace it. Embrace failure, don't be shy to point out the plank in our own eyes. Hunting isn't perfect, nor should the portrayal of it be.
