There is likely no more of a controversial topic in Africa than elephant hunting. Some will say that it's not needed, others will say it's the lifeblood of their survival. Often voices will push from either end of the spectrum - western voices that will push for no utilization, people on the front lines of wildlife engagement asking for full utilization.
Caught in the proverbial cross-hairs is the role that hunting and ecotourism can play in protecting ecosystems and elephants. Often folks that are against hunting will not see them working together, synergistically, those on the ground will beg to differ.
A FINE BALANCE is a documentary of exposing the impact of elephant hunting on the people of Botswana.
