When you see a high percentage of rain predicted on opening day it is not ideal. Especially when you are trying to film your hunt. I am not much of a blind hunter, but we really had no choice if we were going to film the hunt. So, Dave and I carried the blind up to the area we would be hunting at midnight with no flashlights and put up the blind so it would be ready for in the morning. Good thing we did because for a change the weatherman was correct it was poring the rain most of the morning. That did not stop Dave and I, we set up the decoys and began to make some tree calls in between rain showers. We had several gobblers responding. Next thing we knew they turkeys pitched out of the trees and flew right to the decoys. After several minutes of several gobblers running around the decoys I finally got a clear shot! It’s an exciting rainy-day hunt and we hope you enjoy it!
