When it comes to duck hunting, there is no bigger environment than the ocean. Hunting sea ducks is an experience unlike any other in waterfowl. From the boats, to the lines, the anchors, and even the decoys, bigger is better when you're on the ocean.
We shot Common, White-Winged, and Surf Scoter. All three have similar bodies, but each has unique head and bill features. They don't work like a puddle duck by circling the spread. Sea Ducks ride the water occasionally lifting up to take a look in the distance only to drop back down to the water level again. They'll make one last rise up to pick their spot then into the decoys they come.
