Every waterfowl hunting season is different. Weather not only dictates during the season, but also plays a huge role outside of the season. Much of the country experienced a drought in the summer of 2017 which not only effected duck breeding in the summer, but also the hunting in the fall and winter. Through the first part of the season, water was king. If you had it or had access to it, you had birds. When the cold finally hit, it was longer lasting than many had ever experienced. But when all was said and done, what a year it was!
