This trip was a mess. Unfamiliar places start to feel familiar when you get to know the people who live there. It usually pays to introduce yourself to as many people as possible on these quick drop in hunts. It may result in a new opportunity, and at the very least you’ll probably make some lasting relationships along the way. The messy trips end up creating the best memories. Most people wait all year to hunt the first week of November. It’s a special time to be in the woods, but it’s challenging if you’re dropping into a brand new area.
