Hunting trophy black bears takes a lot of patience. I sat a total of 27 days straight after a bear before and still never got the opportunity. Big bears don't have a plan or agenda. Pattering them sometimes is a waste of time. You have to be willing hunt them from sun up to sun down. Hollywood was one of them bears. Hunting him on the ground with a bow hasn't worked, so I've moved up hill/ up wind switching to rifle.
