Droptine buck down! Watch as Eddie and I packed up from base camp and headed into the backcountry with the side by side. We set up a spike camp and started our pursuit after a big buck we've been watching in there these past few years. Other than a few does we weren't seeing much and began to lose confidence. Thankfully we stayed consistent and continued glassing for the giant mule deer buck we knew was in the area. Persistence paid off as we finally located this stud droptine buck across the canyon on public land. A well-placed shot and he was down. Words can't describe how awesome this hunt was and a true testament for how important it is to stick it out and stay on the optics. A true magnificent Arizona mule deer!
