My buddy Alex drew his first ever elk tag this year. New to hunting he has never harvested a big game animal before. We set out opening morning in pursuit of a cow elk to fill his freezer and feed his family. Little did we know we were going to walk right into a big herd on our way into our glassing point. Everything happed so fast! He made a perfect shot with a 7mm Mag and this beautiful cow was down. Nothing better than seeing a new hunter soak in all the adrenaline and emotions that follow harvesting your first animal. Congratulations Alex on a perfect shot and memories to last a lifetime.
