This week on the Journey Within - A Bird Hunters Diary, Mark Peterson heads down to Kentucky to hunt with good friend George of Salt River Outfitters. This is Marks chance to harvest the eastern turkey subspecies. The eastern turkey is the most common species and can be found in most of the United States. With a little soft calling, Mark has a tom gobbling off the roost. This gobbler is fired up and it doesn't take much time for him to work within shotgun range. There is only one more species left, the Gould's turkey.
