Coming off a stellar 2023 which led to Zach punching his first tag as a landowner on his own dirt, the plan moving into the 2024 season was the usual. Improve the farm in hopes of producing another great whitetail hunt come fall. Finding more sheds than every before anticipation was high. Along with the usual projects that enhance the acres that Zach owns, he implements a huge water source where the clover plot used to be. Fast forward to hunting season and the work is paying off. Numerous bucks show up and Zach almost get's it done in the pond set on a buck he knows well named Squash. With hopes of more targets moving in, Zach keys on an area of his farm known as a pass through for bucks that may not end up on the main portion of the farm and the first sit brought a great buck to the tree and he put on a show. Reminiscing and trying to figure out what deer it was from years prior brings Zach to have a epiphany moment where it hits him. The stud buck from late season showed back up and immediately vaults to the top of the hit list. A week later sitting the same stand, the buck reads the scrip and Zach puts a perfect bow shot on the Non-Typical buck he calls Raisin. We hope you enjoy this story from Area 52 and thank you for taking the time to watch!
