Pheasants appear to be moving faster than they really are and as a result the shooter typically moves their gun much too fast and just about always starts behind the bird. This causes the shooter to chase the bird with the muzzle hoping to get the gun in front and take the shot. this makes the bird appear to move as much as 35% faster but when you slow down and move the same speed at the bird everything slows down!
