The AK Platform is known for its capability to fire a lot of rounds down range and probably hit something; they're also known for their loose-fitting parts that contribute to its reliability, allowing them to continue to run while caked in fouling and baked-on carbon. Like all things mechanical; even AK's require cleaning and lubrication. Any action that becomes too dirty can fail to operate.
