Doug Duren was inspired to see if a modern version of Aldo Leopold's efforts on the Riley Game Cooperative could work on the Duren Family Farm. He invited people to spend a day on the farm and helping him with projects in exchange for hunting access. Over the years, these shared experiences in contributing to conservation of the land and hunting camraderie has developed into a community and sparked a conservation cooperators network called Sharing the Land.
Watch Doug's journey from reading "A Sand County Almanac" to helping hunters gain access to private land while collaborating on conservation projects.
