This week we are headed to Indiana with my good buddy Kenny. If you've watched the show before you know Kenny is the master of time lapses and does so much for us on the production side of Whitetail Edge. Last year Kenny was chasing a buck he called the Big 9 all throughout bow season. He never could close the deal with his Prime and when rifle season came around he had 2 different encounters with this deer and decided to pass him. He estimated the Big 9 to be 4.5 years old last year and thought that if he could make it he could be something really special at 5.5. Well, he made it and what a buck he turned into. Once Kenny got his food plots in the ground this year he started getting some velvet pictures of him late summer and it was game on. Kenny hunted this buck hard all season but once the rut came around his pattern shifted and he knew he had to make a move. The Spartan Cameras helped Kenny pick this deer back up on a neighboring farm where he got permission. He moved a Redneck Ghillie blind on the corner of a cut bean field and waited for his cameras to tell him to go hunt. After getting multiple photos of this buck overnight one night in late November, Kenny went into his Ghillie blind for a long sit. Right before sunset he spotted a few does in the thicket and right behind them was the Big 9. After scrambling in the blind to get all of his cameras on, Kenny made the perfect shot and the rest is history. An amazing end to the story on the Big 9 in Indiana! Congrats Kenny!
